DMCA / copyright notices
We respect the rights of photographers, videographers, schools and other creators. If you believe content on Lights or a Snap Link infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent at jk@snapcount.me with:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- A description of the copyrighted work.
- The URL of the material you want removed.
- Your name, address, phone number and email.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
We'll review valid notices promptly and remove or disable the material where appropriate. If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice with the same details plus your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district. We may end accounts of repeat infringers.
Fair use statement
Lights is editorial coverage of high school football. Some stories may include short excerpts of game film, photos, social posts or other material owned by others for news reporting, commentary and criticism.
We believe this use is fair use under Section 107 of the U.S. Copyright Act: it's transformative, adds original reporting and commentary, uses only what's needed, and does not replace the market for the original. Credit goes to the original creators where known. If you own material shown here and want it credited differently or removed, contact us. We'll work with you.
Remove or correct a feature
Athletes, parents and guardians can ask us to correct or take down a Lights feature at any time by emailing jk@snapcount.me with the story link.
